They say hobbies keep us active and occupied, enhance our creativity and stimulate the brain, generate good mood and positive thinking. You already have one, photography, so use it to capture other activities we usually undertake for fun, relaxation and pleasure, use your photo hobby to capture HOBBIES.
Since we said hobbies are about undertaking activities, this is exactly what we want to see. We want to see you in action while knitting, scrapbooking, cooking, skydiving, coloring, bowling, painting, crocheting, dancing, sculpting, woodworking, stamp collecting, making pottery etc.
We're not interested in seeing the baked pie or the crocheted hat you get in the end, we want to see you working to make these. Here are the instructions for this easy do-it-yourself project: take a hobby, give it to one or more people, get them outside or inside, add some happiness and enthusiasm, mix them together and ACTION. Hobbies are about taking a break and enjoying free time so pay attention to the hobbyists ' expressions.
They should be having fun, should be relaxing, should enjoy whatever hobby they're pursuing. Hobbies are also engaging and many of them involve commitment so showing amateur astronomers engrossed in star gazing or an occasional juggler concentrated on impressing neighbours with latest tricks will also do.
Best shots of hobbies in action will be rewarded with $300 (first place), $200 and $100 (runner ups) for the winners to enjoy even more leisure time and/or hobbies. We're also giving the best hobbyists our Dreamstime branded t-shirts, suitable for any hobby, indoors or outdoors.

Dreamstime's Assignments
Every month our agency has an assignment contest. Photographers who have at least 50 images online can submit his/her work; this then gives the option to either escalate the file to level 5 pricing, or sell the rights of the image for an instant bonus. Each concept submitted must be sold EXCLUSIVELY with Dreamstime.
